About the Founder
Built by a grassroots coach, for grassroots coaches.
Steve is a Suffolk-born coach shaped entirely by the grassroots game, with experience as player, parent, and coach.
An FA-qualified coach with an engineering background, he blends analytical precision with real-world football insight. He spent eight years guiding a mixed-ability grassroots squad to Division 1 through development-focused coaching.
He now coaches in the regional EJA league, gaining deeper exposure to academy-level standards and player pathways. StatScope is the evolution of a decade of his manual data work — turning grassroots passion into a community-driven platform.

When does it launch?

How much will it cost?

- Pro — Around the price of a takeaway coffee a month.
- Elite — Around a matchday pie & a pint a month. 14-day free trial, no card required.

Does it work offline?
Yes — offline-first by design. Log matches on the touchline with zero signal — every goal, sub, and stat saves locally to your phone. When you're back online, it syncs to your secure cloud account. Cloud sync activates with Pro and above.
Is it on Android & iPhone?
Both. Free download from the App Store (iPhone & iPad — iOS 15+) and Google Play (Android 9+). The same account works across all your devices.
How is this different from Veo / Hudl?
Those are excellent video-analysis tools — but they need cameras, tripods, operators, and £1,000+/year. StatScope is a pen-and-paper replacement, not a camera replacement. You log what matters, the app does the rest. Pair them if you have the budget — most grassroots coaches won't.
What about my players’ data — privacy?
Your data stays your data. Hosted on EU servers with industry-standard encryption. Export everything at any time, or delete your account permanently. We never share or sell data. Full policy →
Can I switch tiers later?
Yes — anytime, in either direction. Upgrade and your existing data instantly unlocks the new features (heatmaps, reports, league tables — all calculated retrospectively from your history). Downgrade and nothing is deleted — your data sits safely on your account, ready to come back online the moment you upgrade again. You just lose access to the locked-tier features in the meantime.
What happens to my data if I cancel?
Your data stays yours — for 90 days, then it's your choice. Your full match history stays in the cloud, untouched. Resubscribe within that window and everything picks up exactly where you left off. After 90 days of inactivity we'll email you before any data is permanently removed — and you can export everything to PDF at any point before then.
